Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) specializing in this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing treating and managing pulmonary diseases making a significant impact on the well-being of our patients.

As an NP or PA in Pulmonology you will be involved in a variety of projects focused on respiratory health collaborating closely with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your clinical skills compassion and knowledge to improve the lives of individuals suffering from pulmonary disorders. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with pulmonary conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and imaging studies.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies for respiratory illnesses.
  • Educate patients and their families on pulmonary disease management and prevention.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives related to Pulmonology.

Requirements:

  • Valid NP or PA license in Pulmonology.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant program.
  • Strong knowledge of pulmonary diseases treatments and guidelines.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Compassionate attitude and patient-centered approach to care.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8a-5p) Friday (8a-12p)

No call or weekend shifts

Setting: Outpatient

Daily Volume: 20-30 patients

Support Staff: MD

Preferred Experience: 1 years of outpatient pulmonology

Board certification required
