Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintenance strategy & planning:
    • Develop implement and optimize Preventive maintenance (PM) programs for plant equipment.
    • Monitor and review Corrective maintenance (CM) activities to ensure quick recovery of equipment.
    • Schedule and coordinate daily and weekly maintenance tasks to minimize production impact.
  • Troubleshooting & repair:
    • Lead and support troubleshooting of electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
    • Guide technicians during breakdowns to ensure safe and quick resolution.
    • Analyze downtime data to identify recurring issues and propose improvements.
  • Spare Parts management:
    • Define critical spare parts and maintain minimum stock levels and control working system for spare parts.
    • Coordinate with SCM for procurement and replenishment of spares.
    • Review usage trends to ensure cost-effective inventory management.
  • Maintenance documentation:
    • Develop and maintain clear maintenance procedures (SOPs) troubleshooting guides and equipment historical records.
    • Ensure work orders are updated and closed in a timely manner.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for supervisor.
  • Project Support:
    • Support installation testing and commissioning of new equipment.
    • Ensure spare parts and tools readiness during commissioning.
    • Provide maintainability and accessibility feedback to project teams.
  • New equipment handover & maintainability:
    • Participate in the review of new equipment designs (provided by Engineering) to ensure maintainability accessibility and standardization for future maintenance.
    • Support the installation testing and handover of new equipment from a maintenance readiness perspective.
    • Develop initial maintenance plans and schedules for new machinery.
  • Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics) with extensive relevant experience.
    • Experience: 3 years of direct experience in industrial maintenance or reliability engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
    • Technical skills:
      • Strong practical knowledge of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems in an industrial setting.
      • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings schematics and equipment manuals.
      • Experience with maintenance planning and execution.
      • Familiarity with various maintenance techniques (PM PdM RCM).
      • Strong troubleshooting skills for operational equipment.
    • Soft skills:
      • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on restoring uptime quickly.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with operators and technicians.
      • Highly organized with attention to detail in maintenance planning and record-keeping.
      • Ability to prioritize and manage urgent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Certification in specific PdM techniques (e.g. Vibration Analyst CAT I/II).
    • Experience with specific equipment types used in the plant.
    • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles applied to maintenance.
