Job Title: Geodetic Survey Technologist / Survey Technician

We are looking for an experienced Geodetic Survey Technologist / Survey Technician to work in the Saskatoon area. This position supports Firma Contractings work in projects in Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities:

Participate in field surveys and operate survey instruments and devices
Keep records measurements and other survey information in systematic order
Assist in the calculation analysis and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys
Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings charts and plans.
Work with minimal supervision and direction
Follow all safety and quality procedures
Participate in safety meetings

Requirements:

Completion of a geomatics diploma or a minimum of 3 years of experience is required
Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day
Positive attitude/ team player
Strong communication/ listening skills and ability to follow directions

Physical Demands: Handling material manually standing bending or twisting the body making repetitive motions walking and running keeping or regaining balance.

Work Environment: Standard safety equipment hazardous equipment machinery tools sound and noise outside exposed to weather extreme temperatures vibration outside.

Terms of Employment: Full time permanent
