Job Title: Geodetic Survey Technologist / Survey Technician
We are looking for an experienced Geodetic Survey Technologist / Survey Technician to work in the Saskatoon area. This position supports Firma Contractings work in projects in Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in field surveys and operate survey instruments and devices
- Keep records measurements and other survey information in systematic order
- Assist in the calculation analysis and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys
- Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings charts and plans.
- Work with minimal supervision and direction
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
- Participate in safety meetings
Requirements:
- Completion of a geomatics diploma or a minimum of 3 years of experience is required
- Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day
- Positive attitude/ team player
- Strong communication/ listening skills and ability to follow directions
Physical Demands: Handling material manually standing bending or twisting the body making repetitive motions walking and running keeping or regaining balance.
Work Environment: Standard safety equipment hazardous equipment machinery tools sound and noise outside exposed to weather extreme temperatures vibration outside.
Terms of Employment: Full time permanent
