Join us at Armidale Perioperative Services / Day Surgery Unit - a state-of-the-art facility opened in 2018 designed with modern equipment spacious facilities and an environment that supports both staff and patients. Located in Armidale youll be part of a vibrant regional city that blends culture education and natural beauty. With around 25000 residents Armidale offers a unique lifestyle: warm summers crisp winters and colourful springs. Its home to the University of New England several excellent schools and serves as the cultural and commercial hub of the Northern Tablelands. Well-connected with daily flights to Sydney and Brisbane as well as bus and train services Armidale provides both convenience and lifestyle.


About the role:
As part of our team youll support patients during admission and discharge for surgical procedures focusing on people rather than processes. The unit runs on teamwork collaboration and high-quality care offering you the opportunity to build skills in a dynamic perioperative environment. Shifts are 8 hours across the week and weekends with hours spanning 7am6.30pm.


About you:
Youre a proactive compassionate nurse who thrives in a team-based fast-paced environment. You bring strong time-management clear communication and a collaborative mindset and demonstrate initiative punctuality and respect in your day-to-day practice. Youre eager to learn and grow with knowledge of (or a willingness to develop skills in) ACCORN AS5369 GENCA and infection-control principles. Flexibility to work 8-hour shifts across weekdays and weekends is essential.

Requirements:

  • Youre an Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed where applicable) with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
