Job Summary
Quality Engineer
Minneapolis MN Direct Hire $95k - 105k
Konik is partnering with a local manufacturerseeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support microelectronics capital projects in a fabrication shop environment. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time with minimal rework or delays by executing quality control activities collaborating with project teams and maintaining compliance with specifications and standards.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Perform daily quality control inspections and testing of microelectronics products.
- Develop and maintain quality control plans procedures and inspection test plans.
- Schedule and manage inspections issue Non-Conformance Reports and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Review and verify build documentation for accuracy before production.
- Ensure final products meet project and client requirements.
- Collaborate proactively with project teams suppliers and contractors.
- Travel to supplier sites for QC inspections (approximately 2025%).
Quality EngineerQualifications:
- 3 years of experience in QC practices for welding and steel products ideally in oil & gas aerospace semiconductor or high-purity equipment.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) through AWS
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 ASME codes (B31.1 B31.3) AWS D1.1 ASTM standards.
- Ability to interpret drawings review welding documents (WPS PQR WQTR) and use inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail forward-thinking approach to quality control and disciplined reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience with Bluebeam software.
- Project management experience required Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
