The Womens Health Service Line at Corewell Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Urogynecology/Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Our expert team partners with women to achieve their best life through compassionate personalized and innovative care. Enjoy working part time (0.6 FTE or 24 hours/week) in the outpatient setting at Corewell Health clinics in Grand Rapids. You will work alongside six APPs and eight physicians and will participate in no more than 1:4 weeks of on-call responsibilities (phone) and rotating holidays. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to new patient prolapse and incontinence appointments pre-op/post-op visits pessary fitting and maintenance office Urogyn procedures and follow up appointments. Qualified candidates must have demonstrated Womens Health or Urology experience (outside of clinical rotations).
Responsible for managing patients and coordinating the services provided by multiple disciplines within and outside the health system. Maintains a collaborative practice agreement with specific physician(s). Exercises independent judgment in the assessment diagnosis and initiation of selected protocols/procedures. Provides educational support for patients/significant others health team members and the community and coordinates QA/QI studies to measure outcomes of care.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner
Required Masters Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a masters post-masters or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
3 years of relevant experience current relevant clinical experience Required
Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Required
Experience as a Nurse Practictioner Preferred
