Job Summary
Database Administrator
Location: San Antonio TX (on-site or hybrid as directed); may require TDY/surge support to OCONUS sites in Japan and Korea
Clearance: Active DoD Secret
Required Certifications: Cloud GICSP SSCP Security or GSEC (DoD 8140 IAT-II). Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. Minimum of 20 hours CPD annually.
Role Summary:
Manages enterprise databases supporting DDSB services and reporting. Ensures availability integrity and security while applying STIGs and DR strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Install/patch/harden SQL/Oracle; manage roles and encryption.
- Maintain backup/restore and disaster recovery readiness.
- Apply DB STIGs and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Monitor/tune performance and support analytics workloads.
