Summary
The Senior Controller is a senior leadership role responsible not only for day-to-day financial operations but also forproviding strategic financial guidanceto HCU leadership. This role manages the full finance function oversees the Controller/accounting team and acts as a bridge between operations and strategy. The Sr. Controller is expected to participate in executive decision-making risk assessment and long-range financial planning though without the external capital responsibilities of a CFO. The Sr. Controller will report to the Chief Operations Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership
- Lead all financial reporting forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
- Conduct variance analysis and financial modeling to guide decision-making.
- Strategic Involvement
- Participate in organizational planning and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop financial dashboards and KPIs for leadership.
- Collaborate with operations and clinical leaders to align financial and care delivery goals.
- Oversight
- Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff including the Controller (if applicable).
- Strengthen internal controls and compliance programs across the organization.
- Oversee audits regulatory reviews and reimbursement compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business (CPA CMA or MBA strongly preferred).
- 810 years of progressive finance experience with at least 3 years in leadership.
- Healthcare/home health finance expertise strongly preferred.
- Strong skills in forecasting financial modeling and performance analysis.
- Proven ability to manage teams and influence executive decision-making.
Pay is commensurate on experience.
