Job Title: Receptionist - Part Time

Pay Rate:$15.00 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly organized and professional Receptionist to join our eye care team in Carson City. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients providing excellent customer service while managing administrative tasks that support the smooth operation of the practice. This role requires strong communication skills attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and create a welcoming environment.

  • Answer and direct phone calls take messages and respond to inquiries.

  • Schedule confirm and manage patient appointments.

  • Verify insurance information and assist patients with paperwork.

  • Collect co-pays process payments and manage billing inquiries.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the system.

  • Communicate effectively with the optometrist/ophthalmologist technicians and other staff.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail faxes and emails.

  • Keep the front desk and waiting area clean organized and stocked with necessary forms or supplies.

  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
