Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time (30 hours per week)
- Schedule: 12:30pm 8:30pm with every other weekend required
- Pay: $13.50 $17.50 (up to $20.50 for opt-out benefit and shift differential)
- Perks: Free meals provided on every shift
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the cook with meal preparation and service
- Prepare beverages cereals breads salads and desserts according to menu plans and dietary needs
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all dietary areas including dishwashing and storage
- Set up carts dining areas and staff dining room for meal service
- Follow oral and written instructions including recipes and meal orders
- Handle and store food safely label and date leftovers and replenish supplies
- Attend training classes and implement new skills as needed
- Interact positively with residents family members and staff
- Follow all health safety and facility policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Some high school coursework diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in food service is a plus but not required we provide on-the-job training!
- Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions with attention to detail
- Physical ability to stand walk lift (up to 75 lbs) and perform cleaning duties
- Patience compassion and a desire to serve the elderly community
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and with cleaning chemicals
- Must be free from infectious diseases
