Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Opportunities at Trinity Ridge
Now Hiring for all Shifts: Part-Time and Full-Time Positions
Trinity Ridge is seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team for 1st;2nd & 3rd shifts shift positions. We offer both part-time roles (20 hours per week) and full-time opportunities (30 hours per week). Employees working 20 or more hours weekly are eligible for benefits.
Pay and Benefits Overview
- Sign-On Bonus: $5000
- Base Pay: Starting at $15.50 per hour (see additional pay details below)
- Flexible Scheduling: Choose from traditional 8-hour or 12-hour shifts or select a schedule that fits your lifestyle
- Daily Pay: Access your earned pay on a daily basis before the regular payday
- Benefits: Coverage begins after 30 days of employment and includes insurance and paid time off (PTO)
Additional Pay Opportunities
- Weekend Shift Differential: Earn an extra $4.00 per hour for all weekend shifts
- Pay in Lieu of Benefits: Receive an additional $$ per hour if you opt out of benefits
Position Purpose and Summary
The primary responsibility of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide residents clients or participants with routine daily nursing care and services following each residents assessment and care plan as directed by nursing supervisors.
Essential Functions
- Deliver resident-centered care that respects each residents preferences and care plan. Treat all residents with kindness dignity and respect. Respond promptly to call lights when applicable.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) including oral care eye and ear care bathing dressing grooming and nail care. Provide support with toileting perineal and incontinence care as needed. Change bed linens as necessary and as assigned.
- Support mealtimes by serving and setting up meal trays assisting with feeding and preparing and serving thickened liquids as required. Distribute snacks and fresh ice water as assigned or needed.
- Help with ambulation transferring lifting turning and repositioning residents adhering to policies for safe lifting and taking into account each residents abilities and care plan. Use lift equipment correctly per manufacturer and facility guidelines.
- Document care and observations as instructed using the electronic medical record system when applicable.
- Complete assigned tasks according to certification and care level such as taking vital signs providing catheter care applying TED hose weighing and measuring residents collecting specimens performing range of motion exercises and restorative procedures and caring for dying or deceased residents as needed.
- Report any changes in a residents condition promptly and appropriately. Immediately report possible abuse or crimes against residents.
- Report exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous chemicals as well as any accidents or near-miss incidents to a supervisor as soon as possible.
- Apply restraints bed rails and positioning devices only as ordered.
- Follow skin care protocols and preventive measures to avoid skin breakdown. Immediately notify a supervisor of any open areas redness or other changes in skin condition.
- Adhere to established infection control guidelines and standard precautions including proper handwashing and use of personal protective equipment.
- Complete all assigned training requirements and maintain necessary continuing education credits to keep certification current according to State and Federal regulations.
- Assist with transportation to life enrichment activities and participate in care plan or other family conferences as indicated.
- Perform other duties as necessary for the orderly operation of the facility or program.
- Demonstrate LSCs mission vision values and customer service standards in daily interactions.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of 10th grade education required.
- Experience: No prior experience required.
- Certification: Must be certified in the state of North Carolina and complete required continuing education to maintain certification.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Physical exertion involving pushing pulling and lifting up to 35 pounds; occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking during which objects may be transported
- Occasional bending squatting or repeated reaching may be required
- Ability to assist in repositioning and transferring individuals of varying weights following established safe lifting procedures
- Must be ambulatory throughout the facility
