Meet state licensing requirements (must have an Arkansas Teaching Certificate with Sports Medicine 625 listed on certificateOR meets requirements to apply for Sports Medicine Technical Permit through DCTE).The requirement to teach the Sports Medicine courses with Technical Permit 625 requires one of the following:

Certified Athletic Trainer
Minimum of a Bachelors in Exercise Physiology/Scienceor related degree
Kinesiologist
Physical Therapist
Physical Therapy Assistant

Medicalrelated work experience

Applicants with a Bachelors Masters Doctorate degree must have two years ofmedicalrelated work experience
Applicants with a Certificate in place of a college degreemust have four years ofmedicalrelated work experience in the certification area.
