Casual APs/Producers for Weekend
Virgin Radio UK is the home of Chris Evans at breakfast and with a weekend line up featuring Angela Scanlon Tom Allen and our brand new afternoon football show Game On with Charlie Baker.
Were looking to build a pool of experienced Producers and budding new Assistant Producers (APs) to join the Virgin Radio family. What were looking for:
A keen interest in all things music football and entertainment
Technical skills in and outside of the studio
Experience of broadcasting software including Zetta and Burli
Experience of editing in Adobe Audition
The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced live broadcasting environment
A can-do attitude and willingness to learn quickly
The enthusiasm to work within friendly and vibrant teams
The flexibility to work weekend shifts and adapt to changing schedules
This role is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about radio production music football and creating compelling content. As a casual AP/Weekend Producer at Virgin Radio you will play a pivotal role in assisting with show preparation managing on-air content and ensuring smooth operations during weekend broadcasts.
Day to day you will:
Operate studio equipment and manage audio levels during live broadcasts to ensure high-quality sound.
Assist in the preparation and execution of weekend radio shows including guest coordination and scriptwriting.
Collaborate with presenters and other team members to develop engaging content and segments.
Monitor news entertainment and sport developments to incorporate timely and relevant content into shows.
Coordinate with technical staff to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during broadcasts and ensure seamless on-air operations.
Contribute creative ideas and innovative approaches to enhance the overall quality of our programming.
