Job Summary

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

RN - MED/SURG

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Med/Surg Department will have the following job responsibilities:

Caring for a wide range of adult patients with acute illnesses post-surgical recovery and other medical conditions that dont require specialized care.
Key responsibilities include patient assessments administering medications and treatments monitoring vital signs providing wound care and educating patients and their families.
Med-surg RNs also document patient care coordinate with physicians and other healthcare team members and manage medical equipment to ensure comprehensive and effective treatment plans.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

RN - MED/SURG

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Med/Surg Department must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

Education:

Nursing Diploma or ASN required BSN preferred

Licensure:

Current Florida State RN license or compact state RN license

Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required

Current ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire

Experience:

Minimum one year RN experience

Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment

Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing bending reaching squatting kneeling moving lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds

ONSITES ARE MANDATORY FOR AN OFFER TO BE MADE

Patient Ratio- 6:1

1 year of acute care experience required.

MUST HAVE 1 year of RN experience preferability in the

hospital setting but is open to LTACH HOME HEALTH REHAB
