Emergency Department Registered Nurse Travel Position

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Lake Geneva WI. The Emergency Nurse will provide rapid assessments urgent interventions and high-quality care to patients presenting with acute illnesses injuries or trauma. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure adaptable and experienced in emergency and critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid assessments and ongoing monitoring of patients in emergency situations.
- Administer medications IV therapies and emergency interventions according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians specialists and interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely care.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Document assessments interventions and outcomes promptly and accurately.
- Maintain compliance with hospital safety standards infection control policies and emergency protocols.
- Respond effectively to critical changes in patient condition initiating appropriate interventions.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin (or compact license).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong assessment communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to provide effective care in fast-paced high-pressure emergency settings.
