General Laborer

We are now accepting resume/applications forGeneral Laborers for the Lafayette LAand surroundingareas. Duties/Responsibilitiesmay/may not be limited tothe following:

• Position Requirements:
• Construction background preferred
• MUST be able to pass drug screen
• MUST have reliable transportation
• MUST be able to provide OWN PPE (Hard hat steel toe boots safety glasses & gloves)
• Required Skills:

• Duties/Responsibilities:
• Will be required to use an electric hammer to pin and anchor mats
• Assemble/disassemble irrigation system
• Cleaning and preparing a job site (along levee and canal)
• Transport merchandise between receiving stations and production areas.
• Lift and carry merchandises/material as needed.
• Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages.
• Load and unload merchandise to and from trailers.
• Record the material amount or count received and circulated.
• Maintain industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition..
• Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely.
• Mange housekeeping activities when requested.
• Maintain the work area clean safe and organized.
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
• Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
• Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
• Practicesafety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
• Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
• Report safety hazards quality and production issues to management immediately
• Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and/or dragup to 55 lbs
• Must have good endurance
• Will be required to bend stoop squat crouch kneel and crawl to perform task
• Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
• Ability to work in cramped and/or confined spaces when required
• Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust dirt and various other debris metal and paint fumes gases
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to high precarious places and outside weather conditions
• The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock

• Pay:
• $15.00/Hour
• Weekly Pay
• Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
• Schedule:
• Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
• 8 - 12 Hour Days (With Weather Permitting)
