Responsibilities include:
Prepares baked goods and food per current applicable federal state and local standards guidelines and regulations within established policies and procedures to ensure quality food service. Responsible for baking and hot food preparation including accompaniments and garnishes.
- Creates and prepares homemade baked goods and assorted bread; prepares frozen par-baked goods and bread. Prepares hot entrees soups and vegetables following preparation sheets and provides recipes for all dining venues Health Centers and special functions. Includes accompaniments and garnishes as appropriate. Gives special attention to
eye-appeal/presentation. - As a Baker at RiverMead youll Work closely with our Executive Chef and play a key role in designing our seasonal menus. Your creativity and expertise will be instrumental in shaping our culinary offerings.
- Prepares food using proper food handling techniques that comply with safety and sanitation rules and practices. Completes required food temperature checks. Tastes all prepared food items.
- Performs preparation as indicated.
- Completes preparation records and properly stores food items at the meal services close.
- Cleans work area and equipment. Maintains a clean safe neat environment for residents self and other staff.
- Performs other duties that may from time to time be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two years of professional cooking experience required. Health care setting preferred.
- Serve Safe certified (or willingness to become certified) required.
- Takes oral and written instruction well.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be self-directed and dependable.
- Must be a team player with a can-do attitude!
