We are looking for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Obstetrician/Gynecologist who is board-certified or board-eligible.
This position focuses on providing excellent care for mothers and is also about teaching and working together as a team.
**Job Description:**
- Provide care for obstetric patients 24 hours a day every day.
- Help with labor and delivery emergency situations and care after childbirth.
- Check and manage patients during labor and help those who do not have an assigned doctor.
- Handle emergency gynecological situations.
- Work closely with obstetricians experienced labor and delivery nurses neonatal practitioners and social workers.
- Work in a hospital with a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nearby.
- Teach and supervise OB/GYN residents fellows and medical students in a learning environment.
- Responsible for checking on patients entering orders and attending births.
- Work about 6 to 7 shifts each month from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM.- Work at least 2 days on weekends each month.- Participate in a holiday schedule that rotates among staff.
**Qualifications:**
- Must be Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN (must get certified within 2 years).
- Must have experience and be comfortable with all kinds of OB and GYN surgery.
- Must have a valid Michigan medical license when starting the job.
- Must have a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and keep it updated.
- Clean history with malpractice and medical licenses.
**Certification Requirements:**
- BLS- Board Certified- Board Eligible
- DEA Registration- Michigan State License Required
