Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or other nursing degree with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Current Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact license
- BLS certification required
Experience:
- Minimum of 9 months of professional nursing experience
Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrates positive and appropriate interpersonal skills
- Strong time and resource management abilities
- Demonstrates flexibility critical thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of unit-specific equipment and the nursing process
- PALS certification preferred
As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years in womens services
- Experience on OB Triage Labor & Delivery Postpartum Antepartum
- High-Risk Womens Services (including GYN and antepartum OB patients)
- Mother/Baby Unit (Couplet Care)
- Newborn Transition Nurse (providing care to newly delivered newborns)
