Job Summary

Description

We are searching for an OB Float Pool Nurse! someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital this position youll provide quality nursing care to patients by assessing planning educating implementing and evaluating age appropriate care in a manner that incorporates family centered principals and cost effective care.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing or other nursing degree with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
  • Licensure & Certifications:
  • Current Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact license
  • BLS certification required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 9 months of professional nursing experience

Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrates positive and appropriate interpersonal skills
  • Strong time and resource management abilities
  • Demonstrates flexibility critical thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of unit-specific equipment and the nursing process
  • PALS certification preferred

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 years in womens services
  • Experience on OB Triage Labor & Delivery Postpartum Antepartum
  • High-Risk Womens Services (including GYN and antepartum OB patients)
  • Mother/Baby Unit (Couplet Care)
  • Newborn Transition Nurse (providing care to newly delivered newborns)
