We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Gastroenterology or Internal this role you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders contributing to the overall health and well-being of our community. You will be involved in a variety of projects from conducting patient consultations to performing endoscopic procedures all aimed at providing high-quality medical care.
As an MD or DO in Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine your expertise is vital in managing conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome acid reflux and liver diseases. Your role will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team staying updated on the latest medical advancements and delivering compassionate care to patients. Responsibilities:
- Conduct consultations with patients to assess symptoms and medical history.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify gastrointestinal issues.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to each patients needs.
- Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and gastroscopies.
- Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on preventive measures and lifestyle changes for gastrointestinal health.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine.
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
- Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Schedule: 7a-7p 7 on/7 off
No call shifts
Level II Trauma
Daily Census: 10-15 admits rounding
ERCP required
Support Staff: Hospitalists tele-hepatologists APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
