Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife) specializing in Ob/Gyn . As a CNM you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to women throughout their pregnancy childbirth and postpartum period. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being of both mother and baby making a significant impact on the lives of our patients.
In this role you will be involved in a variety of projects ranging from prenatal care and labor support to gynecological exams and family planning services. Your commitment to promoting womens health and delivering high-quality care will be essential in maintaining our reputation as a trusted healthcare provider in the Hampton area. Responsibilities:
- Conducting prenatal assessments and providing personalized care plans for expectant mothers.
- Assisting in labor and delivery offering emotional support and medical expertise.
- Performing routine gynecological exams and screenings.
- Providing counseling on contraceptive options and family planning.
- Educating patients on pregnancy childbirth and postpartum care.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining confidentiality.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Valid CNM certification and state licensure.
- Demonstrated experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of current practices and trends in womens health.
- Empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Schedule: 2 clinic days (8a-5p) and 1 in-house call shift (8a-8a) per week
Patient Volume: 15 per day
Skills Needed: Vaginal deliveries L&D and postpartum care outpatient care
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
