Completion of graduate core program in business management or public administration public health health administration social or behavioral science or public finance; 24 mos. planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g. health care data analysis health services contract management health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development HMO & hospital rate development health services eligibility health services data analysis).

-Or 24 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 1 65295. Note: education & experience is to be commensurate with approved position description on file.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking an experienced claims professional to supervise our Claims Resolution Team. As the Claims Resolution Supervisor your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily activities of the claims resolution team including reviewing reports and tracking performance (SLA) metrics.
  • Ensuring claims adhere to federal and state regulations payer guidelines and internal policies.
  • Identifying trends errors and inefficiencies in claims processing and recommending corrective actions or system enhancements.
  • Providing coaching and training to claims examiners especially on complex claims or new procedures.
  • Presenting findings from claims reviews to the contractor highlighting risks resolutions and opportunities for improvement.
  • Working closely with departments such as policy provider relations and IT to resolve issues and streamline workflows.
  • Overseeing credit balance accounts receivable/payable and IRS levy setup for processing including research and monitoring.
  • Contacting providers to resolve billing issues and ensure timely problem resolution.
