Job Summary
The Distribution Specialist assists with the daily operating procedures of Distribution Services. Some job duties are receipt and delivery of all campus mail and freight event set-ups surplus pick-ups auction set-ups campus shredding furniture moves and contract postal unit support.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assist with the scheduling and fulfilling of freight deliveries internal moves event set-ups deliveries and disposal/re-purposing of surplus items. Assist with surplus pick-ups work orders deliveries and disposal/re-purposing of surplus items and surplus auctions. Handle incoming freight deliveries for Distribution Services. Research shipping and receiving information and accurately enter data into the internal tracking system. Assist with the document destruction and hard drive shredding process scheduling storage and transfer of material to the vendor. Maintain and establish effective relationships with internal and external customers and vendors. Assist with the implementation of policies and procedures for proper handling of incoming assets accurate documentation of information for UT-Share input . Provides support for Mail Services and the UC Post Office in processing mail according to USPS standards with accuracy in all phases of the process. Performs all other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School graduation or experience equivalent with two (2) years of warehouse experience. One (1) year of forklift experience. Ability to lift at least 50lbs on a consistent basis.
Preferred Qualifications
People management experience including solid competencies in talent identification and development coaching and mentoring.

Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm
