The role
As a Senior Ministerial and Parliamentary Liaison Officer within the Office of the Secretary your role is all about keeping things sharp responsive and sound. Youll be the go-to for high-level support across ministerial briefings parliamentary documents and complex correspondence-making sure everything aligns with ministerial and Departmental protocols and is delivered with precision under pressure. Whether its managing urgent or sensitive requests guiding junior staff or coordinating major processes like Budget Estimates and Question Time your work ensures the Department runs smoothly and is communicated effectively.
This environment is fast-paced and requires responsiveness so being able to maintain your cool under shifting priorities and tight deadlines is key to success in this role. Youll work closely with your manager and colleagues to troubleshoot escalations refine systems and improve workflows with a keen eye on quality consistency and with intention to make strategic impact.
