Investor Relations Analyst

KBR is seeking an ambitious Investor Relations (IR) Analyst with a strong interest in investor relations to join our corporate finance team in Houston TX and contribute to shaping the companys investor communications and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President of Investor Relations you will help prepare investor presentations earnings materials and other financial communications support market analysis and shareholder engagement efforts and build strong relationships with investors analysts and other stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in investor relations gain exposure to strategic decision-making and make a meaningful impact on the companys visibility and credibility in the investment community. This position follows a hybrid schedule with three days per week on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Vice President of Investor Relations in preparing for and participating in investor meetings roadshows and other stakeholder engagements to strengthen relationships and enhance the companys market credibility
  • Support the planning and execution of quarterly earnings calls investor presentations and related materials ensuring accurate compelling and timely communications
  • Contribute to shareholder targeting efforts identifying and profiling current and potential investors to support strategic engagement initiatives
  • Conduct peer analysis valuation modeling and financial analysis to provide actionable insights that inform investor communications and strategic decisions
  • Analyze financial statements SEC filings and other company data to support investor reporting and engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather insights align messaging and ensure consistency in investor relations strategy
  • Participate in ad hoc projects market research and strategic initiatives to enhance shareholder engagement and the companys visibility with the investment community
  • Identify opportunities to improve investor relations processes materials and communications implementing best practices to elevate efficiency and impact

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business Administration or a related field
  • 68 years of progressive experience in Investor Relations Finance or related roles
  • CPA or other relevant certification preferred but not required

Financial Acumen:

  • Strong understanding of financial statements capital markets and investment principles
  • Proficient in financial analysis including valuation modeling peer benchmarking and trend analysis
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear investor-friendly narratives
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations to senior executives investors and analysts
  • Highly organized able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and financial modeling tools; familiarity with Bloomberg FactSet or similar platforms a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the energy resources and chemicals or engineering sectors
  • Previous investor relations (IR) or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) experience
  • Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements and corporate governance practices
  • Proficiency in financial modeling valuation and analysis
  • Proactive and innovative in analyzing financial data supporting investor communications and contributing to strategic initiatives
  • High level of integrity professionalism and ethical standards

Travel Requirements:20% travel including international travel

Scheduled Weekly Hours:40 hours/week

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus relocation benefits short-term incentives long-term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
