How youll contribute
AMedical Technologistwho excels in this role:
- Verifies patient and specimen identification before performing any procedure.
- Performs common testing procedures and assesses and reports test results.
- Performs test result calculations as necessary.
- Performs and reports waived to highly complex laboratory tests on patients by departmental policies and procedures.
- Recognizes abnormal unusual or unexpected test results through correlation of data with common physiological conditions/age of the patient.

What were looking for
Applicants should have abachelors degree or MT degree. Additional requirements include:
- Critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- One (1) year of experience in a medical laboratory preferred
- One of the below certifications is preferred.
- MT (ASCP)
- MLS (ASCP)
- AMT (NCA or HEW MT Certification before 2010)
