Job Summary
Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (Ref.: 533192) (to commence from January 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal)
Applicant should possess a strong Masters or doctoral degree in urban planning urban design urban transportation and urban studies architecture landscape architecture or related disciplines preferably with substantial experience in professional practices. Dedication to teaching and nurturing future talents is a must and prior experience in teaching postgraduate and undergraduate courses especially studio courses in universities is highly preferred. Applicants who are members or eligible for membership of professional institutions in related fields would be advantageous.
The appointee will substantially contribute to teaching tutoring and the coordination of postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes in urban planning provide a high level of administrative assistance to Programme Directors and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department or his/her delegates.
A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Lecturer or up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Lecturer.
