Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Manager Petroleum Operations on a permanent basis on our Energy Sales & Operations team.

This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Calgary AB.

Are you ready to take your career to the next level This dynamic role will give you the opportunity to lead growth innovation and operational excellence across fuel c-store car wash and propane related operations.

What youll do:

  • Lead the execution of bulk gas bar c-store and car wash programs across the Zone to drive operational excellence and profitability for local Co-ops.
  • Lead and manage local co-op relationships across the zone with local Co-op team leaders.
  • Provide strategic financial oversight by managing Zone expenses and forecasting volume growth based on market trends and competitive analysis.
  • Assist with long-term facility development planning including feasibility and design input for new and upgraded petroleum sites.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Operations Advisors fostering talent development succession planning and performance management.
  • Champion the implementation of growth initiatives such as TEMPO First Nation and independent reseller programs to expand market opportunities.
  • There is an expected travel requirement of approximately 40% in Southern Alberta Southern B.C. and Vancouver Island.

Who youll work with:

The Team: You will work closely and lead a team of Senior Retail Operations Advisors will have 5 direct report(s) and will report into the Senior Manager Energy team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration innovation and community.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our Energy & Ag business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as local Co-op leaders and independent operators/dealers.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

  • Have 8 years of progressively responsible related experience in the petroleum industry.
  • Have a Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing Commerce Engineering or Agriculture (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have strong leadership and communication skills.
