Your Team Your Impact

The Optics team builds highly integrated component platforms with high speed Silicon photonics transmit and receive amplifiers controller
ASICs with Marvell DSPs. These components are made operational with a highly functional embedded firmware. The team is responsible for
design verification and validation of these integrated high speed optical components. The team performs system level testing under various
operating conditions and validates the performance of the hardware firmware and control loops. An engineer in this team will be involved in a
full product lifecycle and will carry new products from inception all the way to NPI.

What You Can Expect

In this on-site role you will work each day on a portion of a design that youll implement. Youll begin with schematic capture and then run simulations looking at signal and power integrity to make sure a design is adequate. You will work with other team members to see how your portion integrates with theirs. Youll work with architecture and validation teams to understand the flow and testing needs. Youll be looking to see what parts are available and programming any programmable devices you use for your design.
Youll attend different types of meetings. Project or technical meetings occur weekly to discuss details of each project.

What Were Looking For

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science Computer Engineering or similar with a focus on schematic design board or package routing signal and power integrity analysis and programmable device design.
  • Have completed a project in school or at a previous role that included schematic capture and design of a circuit. Board design is not required. You should be able to explain in detail the goal of the project your role in it and how any issues were solved.
  • Have worked in the lab at school debugging problems you missed in design review. Have experience deciding if something is wrong with the circuit the chip or the board.
  • Be ready to work with many different people for a common team goal. Be a good communicator providing your team with updates asking questions when you need to and keeping everyone informed.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

29 - 57 $ per hour.

The successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
