Role:Project Manager TRANSECTS Project

Grade and Salary: Grade 6per annum (pro-rata)

FTE and working pattern: 0.4FTE 14hrs per week

Holiday Entitlement: 33 days annual leaveplus 9 buildings closed days (and Christmas Eve when it falls on a weekday) (pro-rata)

Purpose of Role

To provide high-level administrative and project management support to the Principal Investigator (PI) of theTRANSECTSresearch project (). The role will ensure the smooth operation of project activities including coordinating meetings tracking financial progress reporting and engaging stakeholders.

Essential & Desirable Criteria

Essential

  1. Educated to at least SCQF level 9-10 or similar or equivalent practical experience in the workplace
  2. Experience in project management
  3. Competent in the use of relevant IT packages
  4. Analytical problem-solving skills
  5. Well-developed interpersonal skills
  6. Demonstrable excellent customer service
  7. Demonstrable ability to work quickly flexibly and accurately in a dynamic changing and pressured environment
  8. Demonstrable professional and proactive approach

Desirable

  1. Familiarity with research project management and funding processes
  2. Experience with website content management systems (e.g. WordPress)
  3. Interest in environmental or marine research
