Job Summary
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist coaches in the secondarygirls basketball program
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
- Assist coaches in daily and long-rangeathletic activities
- Assist coaches in planning the athletic program
- Conduct learning experiences under the direction of the head coacheswith small groups ofstudent athletes
- Assist coaches in guiding participantstoward a harmonious team spirit
- Assist in providing supervision to athletes duringperiods of team travel
- Recommend to the head coach the purchase of equipment supplies anduniforms as appropriate for the health safety and welfare of studentathletes.
- Perform other non-coaching duties assigned by the principal athleticdirector or head coach
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Fundamentals ofbasketball
- Health and safety regulations
- Interpersonal skills using tact patience and courtesy
ABILITY TO:
- Assist coaches
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Read interpret apply and explain rules regulations policies andprocedures
- Lift objects weighingupto 50 pounds
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a Q.E.D. as required by Kentucky law
- Successful completion of coaching requirement tests (KHSAA coaches certification) criminal record check and current certification infirst aid and CPR
