Position Overview:We are currentlyhiring experienced AZ or DZ Snow Plow Operators to assist with our snow removaloperations. As a key member of our team you will be responsible for operatinga heavy truck equipped with a snow plow attachment to clear roads. The idealcandidate should have a strong work ethic excellent driving skills and acommitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of spreader plow wing to perform snow removal on local roads as per the contract requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation to complete the necessary paperwork
- Maintain/clean equipment and conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as required
- Familiar with performance requirements; understand route map and sand/salt applications
- Meet call in requirements during a winter storm event
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- DZ or AZ license with a clean drivers abstract and CVOR-D required
- 2 years previous experience in winter-maintenance operations
- Available to respond to call-ins within one hour
- Ability to work assigned shifts and extended hours (evenings weekends nights and holidays) as winter events require
- Mechanical knowledge ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment considered an asset
- Good understanding of MTO standards
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly wage of $35.00 CAD per hour.
- $4500.00 CAD standby rate.
