Data Engineer
Type: Remote
Position level: Junior/Middle
Merge Tech develops and operates arbitrage and quantitative strategies on-chain. Our team faces numerous data challenges that directly impact our business outcomes. Were seeking a data engineer to join our team and tackle tasks like analyzing gas usage patterns and improving execution efficiency. The data team works at a fast pace and frequently engages with cutting-edge blockchain research offering candidates an opportunity to gain truly deep expertise in the blockchain space.
Approach:
- Collaborate with teammates to design effective data architecture solutions that address our analysis needs
- Implement and deploy these architectural solutions
- Develop fast efficient and real-time data pipelines using Airflow
- Build resilient blockchain data indexers
- Use DBT/SQLMesh for effective data transformations
- Streamline insights generation through LLM automation
Industrial Experience:
- Minimum 1 years of experience with Python SQL and data engineering
- Experience with blockchain/Web3 data analysis
- Background in trading data analysis
- Experience at an algorithmic trading firm is a plus
