Job Summary

Cloud Solutions Engineer Architect - Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities:

Design implement and manage hybrid cloud solutions (on-prem Azure).
Develop secure scalable and resilient cloud infrastructures aligned with business needs.
Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform Ansible ARM templates etc.) to automate deployments.
Write and maintain scripts for automation monitoring and orchestration (PowerShell Python Bash).
Collaborate with architects developers and security teams for integrated cloud solutions.
Implement backup recovery and disaster recovery solutions (IaaS BaaS DRaaS).
Monitor and optimize performance security and cost of cloud infrastructure.
Document cloud architectures configurations and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

5 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering solution design or hybrid cloud implementation.
Strong experience with:
- Hitachi Vantara technologies (storage backup DR).
- Microsoft Azure (compute storage networking security automation).
Expertise in hybrid cloud architecture and solution deployment.
Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform Ansible ARM templates etc.) and automation scripting.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices compliance standards and governance.
Relevant certifications preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Hitachi Vantara Certified Professional/Expert
- DevOps/automation certifications (Terraform Kubernetes etc.)
