Technology
Help Desk Technician
POSITION PURPOSE: To support building staff and students in the use of technology and to maintain computer hardware software and related equipment within the building.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Instructs students on the use of curricular and assessment applications
- Maintains student data in instructional applications
- Serves as the first contact and support for all building technology escalates issues to district staff as required
- Trains staff in the use of technology from individuals to large groups
- Remotely troubleshoots technology issues with staff in person via phone and/or remote desktop software
- Installs applications on desktops laptops and/or mobile devices directly or through management systems
- Prepares newly purchased and repurposed technology for use in the building
- Tracks technology coming to and leaving the building for inventory purposes
- Communicates and works collaboratively and professionally with colleagues
- Adheres to School Board policies and Corporation policies and procedures
- Performs other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology/Building Principal
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong computer skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work with others collaboratively and professionally
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to client operating systems
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to networking
HOURS:40hours per week; daily hours (am to pm)
SALARY:$18.00-$18.50 increase possible which is dependent upon competency level.(Schedule# 21-8)
