The role:
To drive the communications and strategy behind the Scotiabank Engineering Mindset culture re-alignment.
This is a hands-on role encompassing messaging via internal social media drafting internal communications reviewing communications produced by others and exploiting external social media where appropriate to create buzz around our journey towards Scotia becoming the creators guardians and engineers of value and exceptional experiences for our clients.
The role is responsible for communicating the core values and axiomatic behaviors which underpin our daily activities specifically as IT Professionals within the bank and ensuring exact alignment with the congruent ScotiaBond core values and behaviors which form the cultural norms for the bank as a whole.
It needs to distil those values and behaviors which apply generally to Technology and specifically to an Engineering Mindset into an easily understandable format and communicate them in a culturally sensitive fashion throughout Technology at Scotiabank using all possible communications channels including setting up and managing in person speaking / town hall style events for the Technology function.
The role will also set up and proactively promote a set of events: hackathons speaking events aimed as giving Technology a better understanding of what is expected of them to make the change to the Engineering Mindset.
Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations internal policies and procedures.
