Ultra Maritime is seeking highly motivated and skilled Test Engineering Technician to join our team. Successful candidates will assist in the designing developing and maintaining automated test equipment to support the production of complex defense systems. This role requires a strong understanding of Interpreting engineering drawings schematics and other documentation and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality standards for our customers. This role includes Night shift Production support.Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role; due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Maintain automated/manual test setup comprised of test equipment and test software.
Create and maintain detailed test plans procedures and methodologies to verify product specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test equipment software and test methodologies.
Analyze test data and production yields to identify trends root causes of failures and areas for improvement.
Recommend and implement improvements to existing test equipment and processes to increase efficiency accuracy and throughput.
Collaborate with design development and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Carry out testing across a wide variety of electronic products using automated and manual test equipment and processes for safety capacities compliance and performance.
Completes testing records and results individually as required for each product tested and where necessary compiling reports on findings and testing data gathered. Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date.
Qualifications
Required:
Diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology or a related field.
Ability to interpret technical drawings schematics and system specifications.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with various test equipment including oscilloscopes spectrum analyzers power supplies and data acquisition systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment across multiple engineering and tooling disciplines.
Must be able to gain the appropriate Canadian government security clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects
Desired:
Programming skills in Python or LabVIEW for test development and automation.
Proven experience in an electronic manufacturing environment preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.
Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
Experience with statistical tools for data analysis and visualization.
