Key Responsibilities: Financial Analysis & Reporting - Analyze financial data to identify trends and assess the teams financial health
- Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project and team financial success
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for team leadership with actionable insights
- Maintain billings expenses and project data monthly ensuring proper financial recognition.
- Track project profitability identify opportunities and provide guidance to project team members
- Identify opportunities within projects to assist with risk mitigation
Budgeting & Forecasting - Support the annual CHR budgeting process
- Generate monthly and quarterly projections regarding revenue and resourcing
- Monitor and communicate variances within team profit statements and reports
- Develop financial models and forecasts to guide planning for project teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with architects project managers and others to gather data and understand team business needs
- Provide financial support for informed decision-making
- Support training initiatives for project leaders across the firm
Knowledge Skills and Abilities of a Senior Financial Analyst: - Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in finance or accounting; 6 years of relevant experience preferred. A masters degree is a plus
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex financial data and deliver clear insights
- Financial Modeling: Proficiency in building models for forecasting and scenario planning
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial software and ERP systems Experience with Deltek software is a plus
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present financial information succinctly
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends and inform financial strategies
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of professional services financial metrics and business models
- Represent the firm in alignment with Kahler Slaters core values
Working conditions of a Senior Financial Analyst: Work is performed in a professional collaborative creative open office environment.This position must reside within a 60-minute commute to our downtown Milwaukee Wisconsin office.
