Job Summary

Job Summary

Responsible for preparing and executing banquet food production for meetings events and special functions in a high-volume casino resort environment. Works collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure quality consistency and timely service while upholding Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino standards for guest satisfaction safety and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cook and present banquet menu items according to standardized recipes and event orders.

  • Assist in the setup execution and breakdown of banquet events.

  • Maintain proper food handling storage and rotation practices to ensure freshness and compliance with health codes.

  • Work with Banquet Chef/Sous Chef to ensure all food items meet portion quality and plating standards.

  • Monitor production timelines to meet banquet service schedules.

  • Assist with inventory requisitions and product organization for banquet functions.

  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work area in compliance with sanitation and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with banquet servers and other team members to ensure smooth execution of events.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support kitchen and property operations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or banquet cook experience in a high-volume kitchen.

  • Knowledge of culinary techniques banquet preparation and large-batch cooking methods.

  • Ability to follow recipes portion guidelines and plating standards consistently.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills; able to work under pressure with multiple priorities.

  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a positive professional attitude.

  • Food Handler Certification

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods.

  • Frequent bending lifting carrying and moving items up to 50 lbs.

  • Work in hot humid fast-paced kitchen and event environments.

  • Variable schedule including nights weekends and holidays based on event needs.
