Job Description
A local non-profit serving Buffalo and WNY is seeking a part-time Corporate Counsel (approx. 20 hours/week variable) to serve as in-house legal resource and advisor to the Board leadership and staff. Reporting to the CFO this role ensures compliance with laws regulations and contracts and coordinates closely with outside counsel.
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal guidance on contracts governance compliance risk management and data privacy/cybersecurity.
- Draft review and negotiate agreements with vendors funders and philanthropic partners.
- Support governance best practices fiduciary duties and Board policy development.
- Advise on donor agreements estate settlements and gifts of complex assets.
- Participate in Enterprise Risk Management team and maintain systems to track legal work.
