Job Description

The USC Annenberg School Journalism Directors Office is seeking a highly experienced Budget/Business Analyst to join its high-performing team.

The Budget/Business Analyst will provide support to the School of Journalism Directors Office with the day-to-day financial processing for 45 full-time faculty. General responsibilities include financial reconciliation financial processing troubleshooting financial issues and problems and coordinating year-end financial transactions and closing activity. The Budget/Business Analyst will also assist faculty and staff with travel reimbursements requisitions purchasing supplies/equipment and ensure financial policies are being adhered to.

Preferred Job Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong University budget experience knowledge of university financial systems and USC policies and procedures.

  • Strong computer skills with solid Microsoft Excel experience

  • This is a full-time staff position.

  • The hourly range for this position is $36.78 - 37.00. Minimum Education: Bachelors degree Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

Minimum Experience: 1 year

Minimum Field of Expertise: Business administration accounting or related degree and budget experience including knowledge of government and fund accounting. Strong computer skills with use of automated spreadsheets.
