Job Description

Start Date: 9/22/25

Length: 10- 12 weeks

Weekly Hours: 20 hours

Hourly Rate: $160/hr

The client is seeking to modernize its marketing operations by consolidating and optimizing its SEO and Tier 3 website vendor ecosystem. The current environment is fragmented with 245 Tier 3 website providers and 7 SEO partners delivering overlapping and inconsistent services across regions and lines of business

This fragmentation creates inefficiencies in bandwidth spend performance and governance. Additionally there are gaps and duplications in SEO execution UI/UX quality and integration with OEM requirements and IT dependencies. CLIENT needs to validate the current state assess vendor performance against benchmarks and design a consolidation strategy that balances national vs. local needs while enabling AI/ML capabilities and cross-channel orchestration.

In this role you will play a critical role in providing thought leadership shaping the technical requirements evaluating vendor capabilities and supporting CLIENT in defining its future operating model. This includes mapping market options co-developing evaluation criteria and advising on commercial negotiations with both incumbent and potential new partners. You will ensure that the selected partners and technical solutions align with CLIENTs overall marketing transformation agenda delivering scalable efficiencies and sustainable governance.


Qualifications :

To execute this scope effectively the Tech SME should bring a blend of strategic leadership technical depth and operational experience across SEO vendor/stakeholder management and enterprise marketing/IT integration. Key skills include:

  • SEO Strategy & Execution
    • Deep expertise in enterprise SEO (planning execution optimization cadence content governance AI/ML in SEO).
    • Ability to separate SEO from non-SEO production work and ensure quality scale and compliance.
  • Technical Architecture & Integration
    • Strong understanding of Tier 3 site infrastructure UI/UX requirements and linkage to asset pipelines.
    • Knowledge of IT/Tech dependencies (e.g. front-end dev turnaround integration points security data governance).
  • Vendor & Partner Management
    • Knowledge of / Active contacts in best-in-class SEO and Tier 3 providers
    • Experience consolidating large vendor ecosystems and optimizing partner models.
    • Ability to design requirements packs RFPs and calibrated scorecards to evaluate partner capabilities.
    • Skilled in facilitating debriefs and aligning stakeholders on partner selections.
  • Commercial & Negotiation Acumen
    • Proven track record of advising on commercial baselines staffing models and remuneration structures.
    • Ability to support negotiation workshops balancing CLIENTs needs with partner terms.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance
    • Experience working with Marketing IT Legal and OEM stakeholders to define decision rights SLAs and governance frameworks.
    • Strong executive communication skills to synthesize findings into board-ready recommendations.
  • Program/Project Management
    • Ability to develop project plans lead discovery oversee interviews/surveys and ensure execution within tight 12-week timelines.
    • Skilled in identifying risks dependencies and model adjustments required for sustainable improvements.
