Job Summary

Looking for a challenge where your skills will be tested and your experience impacts people and mission At KBR we are seeking an experienced Production Engineer supporting the Air-to-Ground Missile Systems (AGMS) Product Office in Huntsville AL. The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing and production processes for systems equipment and components used in Department of Defense programs. This role ensures that production meets quality cost and schedule requirements while adhering to DoD standards and specifications. The Production Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency resolve technical issues and ensure the delivery of mission-critical products. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Production Planning and Oversight: Develop and implement production plans schedules and workflows to meet program requirements. Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with DoD standards.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve production methods reduce costs and enhance product quality. Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations.
  • Technical Support: Provide engineering expertise to resolve technical issues during production. Collaborate with design and quality assurance teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to specifications.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure production processes comply with DoD regulations such as MIL-STD-883 MIL-STD-810 and ISO standards. Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare production reports metrics and documentation for program managers and stakeholders. Maintain records of production activities inspections and certifications.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently has or working towards bachelors degree in industrial mechanical manufacturing engineering or a related field
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Air-to-Ground Missile Systems (AGMS) product office
  • Knowledge of DoD standards and regulations
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and compliance
  • Strong understanding of defense systems and operational requirements
  • Ability to work in a collaborative fast-paced environment
