Job Description

Portfolio Evidence Lead (Ukraine-based)
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Portfolio Evidence Lead to spearhead cross-cutting research and evidence generation. This is an excellent role for a research professional passionate about influencing policy and practice through robust data and analysis.
Objective of the Position:
To design and deliver multi-disciplinary research that strengthens decision-making informs programming and enhances accountability within FCDOs aid portfolio in Ukraine. The role will ensure that evidence is high quality accessible and policy-relevant.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cross-cutting analysis and evidence synthesis across sectors.
  • Build partnerships with think tanks universities and NGOs.
  • Produce comparative and thematic reports to support portfolio decision-making.
  • Ensure research meets ethical standards and promotes inclusion.
  • Facilitate uptake and use of evidence across FCDO teams and implementing partners.
Qualifications:
  • 710 years experience in applied research evaluation or evidence generation.
  • Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in social sciences economics public policy or related field.
  • Proven track record of producing policy-relevant research.
  • Familiarity with Ukraines governance humanitarian or reconstruction context.
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English.
  • Strong analytical writing and presentation skills.
