Job Description

Overnight Kitchen Production Manager

Job Summary:

The position description of the Kitchen Production Manager is to oversee evening and overnight production processes and manager will collaborate closely with Senior Production Leads Shift Leads and team members in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. They will provide guidance and oversight on the food production processes ensuring the highest quality standards are consistently maintained. The Kitchen Production Manager will play a crucial role in working alongside senior production leads to facilitate the growth and success of the production staff. They will collaborate to align labor percentages with productivity while simultaneously fulfilling the daily projected quantity levels. Maintaining strong communication with the Kitchen Operations Manager and the Management team is critical to the success of the organization. By ensuring open and transparent communication channels the KPM can foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

As part of the Kitchen Leadership Team this person must be the example to all staff. The Kitchen Production Manager must carry out the vision values and goals of FDB as the company continues to grow and introduce new products locations systems and processes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for the overall production of quality products that meet the companys standards
  • Acts as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries/ problems regarding production and quality
  • Identify and mitigate risks in production operations that could negatively impact delivery of quality pastries
  • Maintain accountability and train Kitchen leads to work with production team to ensure quality speed safety and health standards are consistently met
  • Verifies that sanitation and nutrition practices are followed by all employees
  • Monitor equipment to ensure functionality and safety. Communicate equipment issues to the Kitchen Operations Manager.
  • Ensures proper training is being conducted and that new employees are being set up for on-the-job success.
  • Be well versed in company policy to ensure proper adherence during production shifts
  • Mentor Support and develop Evening & Overnight Kitchen leads
  • Conducts annual performance reviews of Kitchen Leads.
  • Plan and facilitate Bi-weekly individual meetings with Senior Production Leads.
  • Assists with employee hiring terminations evaluations and scheduling
  • Help Kitchen operations manager develop and implement continuous improvement processes
  • Communicate/disseminate pertinent weekly announcements updates/changes and general information to Kitchen production leads
  • Approve Schedules for production shifts
  • Weekly individual meetings with the kitchen operations manager
  • Cultivate and assist in maintaining a healthy work environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of kitchen production

Qualifications and skills:

  • Experience in Leadership/Management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of food products and processes
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Forward thinking in handling conflict: addressing concerns: and on-the-spot decision making
  • Can remain calm under pressure and/or when faced with challenges
  • Embraces challenges as opportunities for growth and development.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies
  • Organized efficient self-motivated
  • Motivated to learn and contribute to teams company success.
  • Possesses excellent time management skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Google Excel spreadsheets etc.
  • Strives for continuous improvement in skills and knowledge.
  • Up-to-date ServeSafe certification or a willingness to acquire certification

Salary: $55000 - $59000 (depending on experience)
