DRC Student Office Assistants support students with disabilities in using their accommodations and assist with the daily operation of the Disability Resource Center. Primary job duties include:
Accommodations usage; instructor notifications exam scheduling and other functions in department management system (DRC Connect)
Assistive Technology resources; text to voice platforms voice to text programs note-taking applications and other tools used by people with disabilities
Greeting and seating test-takers
Monitoring test-takers on video system
Maintaining supplies and prepping exam rooms
Delivering completed exams to academic departments
Proctoring as needed
Reception support (answering phones responding to emails scheduling appointments)
Assisting with the acquisition and production of alternate format textbooks
Related clerical tasks (copying printing filing)
Starting wage is $10/hour with yearly retention increases. Students should be available to work a minimum of 6-10 hours a week during 8am-4:30pm business hours. Additional hours may be available based on performance and student availability (including over University break periods).

Effective oral and written communication skills to explain processes to students instructors and other stakeholders and ask clarifying questions
Attention to detail
Ability to learn a variety of functions in various software and hardware applications
Completed two semesters of college with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Work history in high volume customer service or human service environments
