Were hiring a Senior Software Test Engineer for one of our leading clients in the embedded technology space. This role demands expertise in Linux-based embedded systems and a strong foundation in both hardware and software testing. Youll lead strategic quality initiatives mentor junior engineers and ensure superior product reliability and compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement test strategies for embedded software and hardware systems.
Collaborate with software/hardware teams to align testing priorities.
Develop and execute automated and manual test plans scripts and frameworks.
Lead defect root cause analysis and continuous process improvement.
Mentor junior team members in testing methodologies and quality standards.
Ensure detailed test documentation: test cases reports and defect logs.
Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning daily stand-ups retrospectives.
Stay updated with trends in embedded systems testing and QA best practices.
8 years in embedded systems testing (hardware software).
Strong proficiency in C/C and RTOS environments.
Hands-on with Linux tools CI/CD pipelines and automated test tools like Gtest Pytest.
Knowledge of hardware protocols: I2C SPI UART etc.
Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills with mentoring experience.
Certifications: OSCP CISSP SANS/GIAC or equivalent.
Familiarity with compliance standards: ISO/SAE 21434 HIPAA OWASP ITIL etc.
Industry exposure to defense law enforcement automotive or manufacturing.
Japanese language fluency for technical communication (preferred).
Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
