Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Azure CycleCloud Terraform and High-Performance Computing (HPC). The role focuses on designing deploying and managing scalable HPC environments in the cloud with strong emphasis on Linux system administration automation and distributed computing.
Key Responsibilities:

Design deploy and manage HPC clusters on Azure using CycleCloud.

Build and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices.

Configure and administer Linux environments including system upgrades user management and performance tuning.

Support distributed computing workloads job scheduling and resource optimization for HPC clusters.

Implement monitoring logging and troubleshooting strategies for HPC and cloud infrastructure.

Collaborate with engineering and research teams to design solutions for large-scale compute and storage needs.

Ensure security compliance and cost optimization across cloud and HPC resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering preferably with Microsoft Azure.

Hands-on experience with Azure CycleCloud for HPC cluster deployment and management.

Strong expertise in Terraform and infrastructure automation.

Advanced knowledge of Linux administration (distributions shell scripting command line tools).

Experience with HPC environments workload schedulers (e.g. Slurm PBS Grid Engine) and distributed systems.

Familiarity with networking storage and security concepts in cloud infrastructure.
Nice-to-Have:
-
Experience with containerization (Docker Singularity) in HPC workloads.

Knowledge of parallel file systems (Lustre BeeGFS).

Scripting in Python Bash or PowerShell for automation and integration.

Exposure to hybrid cloud HPC deployments.
