Job Description

Role Overview:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS Kubernetes (EKS) and automation tools. The role involves managing cloud-native infrastructure building CI/CD pipelines and supporting application teams developing in Java Spring Boot and REST APIs. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Kubernetes administration and operators infrastructure automation and deployment orchestration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design deploy and manage AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability reliability and security.

  • Administer Kubernetes clusters (EKS) including Operators upgrades scaling and troubleshooting.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds testing and deployments.

  • Work closely with Java development teams to containerize and deploy Spring Boot REST APIs.

  • Automate configuration management and infrastructure provisioning using Ansible and Terraform/Helm.

  • Monitor log and optimize infrastructure and application performance.

  • Troubleshoot issues across the stack (infrastructure networking applications).

  • Collaborate with developers QA and architects in an Agile/DevOps environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.

  • 4 years of experience in DevOps Cloud or Platform Engineering roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2 S3 IAM VPC RDS etc.).

  • Proven expertise in Kubernetes administration (preferably EKS) and managing Operators.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).

  • Familiarity with Java Spring Boot and REST API deployments.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills with Ansible and Helm.

  • Solid understanding of networking security and container orchestration concepts.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with service mesh (Istio Linkerd) in Kubernetes environments.

  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK CloudWatch).

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Pulumi).

  • Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
