Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with proven experience in defense vehicle design. The successful candidate will join a dynamic engineering team working on innovative projects within the defense sector.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the design and development of advanced defense vehicles.
- Produce detailed 3D models engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Apply engineering principles in structural design ergonomics materials selection and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet performance safety and compliance standards.
- Conduct design reviews simulations and prototype evaluations to optimize product performance.
- Provide technical input across the product development lifecycle.
- BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical design with a strong focus on defense vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Creo Autodesk Inventor or similar).
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis armor systems suspension design and integration of mechanical subsystems.
- Understanding of defense standards and military-grade specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and project management skills.
- Experience with prototyping testing and validation of defense vehicles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a high-paced confidential environment.
- Innovative mindset with attention to detail.
