An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with proven experience in defense vehicle design. The successful candidate will join a dynamic engineering team working on innovative projects within the defense sector.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to the design and development of advanced defense vehicles.
Produce detailed 3D models engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Apply engineering principles in structural design ergonomics materials selection and manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet performance safety and compliance standards.
Conduct design reviews simulations and prototype evaluations to optimize product performance.
Provide technical input across the product development lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements:

BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical design with a strong focus on defense vehicle systems.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Creo Autodesk Inventor or similar).
Strong knowledge of structural analysis armor systems suspension design and integration of mechanical subsystems.
Understanding of defense standards and military-grade specifications.
Excellent problem-solving analytical and project management skills.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

Experience with prototyping testing and validation of defense vehicles.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a high-paced confidential environment.
Innovative mindset with attention to detail.
